Accomplishments
Shane started auxiliary pioneering just a few weeks before turning 16. Then right before 18, he started regular pioneering. At 19, he went to Brooklyn Bethel, where he worked in Building Services and sometimes helped out as a patient care attendant. After leaving Bethel in 2003, he jumped right back into pioneering.
On October 3, 2003, he and Vanessa got married. They became pioneer partners. They spent over ten years serving together—in the U.S. and in Nicaragua and Guatemala, where they happily supported smaller congregations. In 2014, they were invited to Central America Bethel in Mexico City, and in October 2018 they began serving temporarily in Warwick. There, Shane worked in the Global Health Care Office. In March 2020, a few days before the pandemic started, they wer transferred officially to Warwick.
Shane was an open-hearted, honest person who loved sparking conversation with others. He didn’t mind being the first to greet someone and breaking the ice. He had a bright mind and loved to help others. He always gave the credit to Jehovah if anyone noticed his talent. His thoughtful acts of kindness touched more people than he would ever acknowledge.
