A Warm Greeting

I don’t like being called “Meli” (generally), but Shane would always welcome me to meeting with arms wide open, a huge smile, and “Meelllliiii”. His kindness, and warmth and sincere interest in the sheep of Haverstraw came through in that greeting. For myself and others, Shane’s greetings made the congregation feel like arriving to family. Echoing that, when I first moved to the hall, Shane and Vanessa were the first to have me over during the pandemic and took a sincere interest in me. They both reassured me that I wouldn’t be alone. Thank you for all the love.
