Deep Thoughts

It was late July 2002, Shane and Doug came up to meet my friend and I for the first time. He was a happy, kind person who carried a journal and thought deeply about many things. That’s my first memory with my husband Doug Petersen in it. We spent a summer hanging out with Shane. Really I have him to thank for introducing me to Doug. Doug got transferred to Jersey City Assembly Hall at the end of 2002, early 2003. (He and Shane had worked together for a few years.) Next thing we know he was leaving Bethel to get married to Vanessa. These were really great years.
