When we heard the announcement about Shane dying, Rubén immediately said, for being by so incredibly smart, a total computer nerd, Shane was so incredibly loving, a great Shepherd and kind. Let’s not forget his note taking skills were amazing.
From the moment we met y’all in Guadalajara (with the blue chonies), here in Mexico (with all crazy family nights) and then in Warwick (while gossiping where the new branch was going to be, right in front of Gage. Little did we know a month later he would be on the Governing Body), we have always felt like you guys hold such a special place in our hearts.
You may not know this, but during one of the toughest times we’ve faced at bethel, Shane played a big part in helping us get through the pain. His kindness and personal interest toward us, seriously, made the world’s difference. He made us feel like it was okay to not understand what was happening, but to just try our hardest to tell and wait on Jehovah. How fitting were his words.
